Media awards review
Diyari media awards: used concerned facial expressions and looking around as if someone is after him, low camera angle from behind to show that this is a mystery. One straight continued cut with no editing, dark and sinister lighting, top lighting to connote that sense of mystery. The prop of the treasure hidden to relate why he is acting this way and someone else has hidden it here, the edit of the shine on his face shows that its valuable and precious. The sinister continued sound to create suspense as it changes from when he is looking at the treasure to then a rapid change in tone from when he is getting chased. Diyari used lots of close ups when he was getting the treasure to before using long shots when he was walking towards it.
One of my favorite videos at the media awards featured a variety of original concepts and numerous camera shots and angles that made it really impactful. The angles used included pan shots, over-the-shoulder shots, high and low angles, and close-ups. Each of these shots effectively advanced the storyline by illustrating the setting or the emotions conveyed in the video. The mise-en-scène played a significant role in amplifying the connotations of each scene, sparking many ideas. The lighting was quite dim, which hinted at the crime genre, immersing the audience in that perspective and making them feel like they were part of the action. Additionally, the sound was well-synchronized with the narrative, enhancing the overall flow of the story.
